For many years there has been a movement for a so called, "Fair Tax."  This movement has grown each and every year due to the most despised of government agencies, the IRS.  Could this be the time to unite the Fair Taxers and those that wish to restore sound money by ending the Federal Reserve?  Talking heads like Neal Boortz to the mega-celebs like Chuck Norris are stalwart fair taxers yet never heard either of them call to end the federal reserve.  In this moment of national crisis people have started to save.  Savings are very important as to the health and wealth of any nation.  Without savings a nation is doomed to stagnation and little innovation.  Savings are the root of all investment and the road to future prosperity.  While no tax is the best tax of all, a consumption tax(which is what the fair tax is) would help to curb consumption and promote savings.  Which is exactly what the United States of America needs right now.  Is it time to join the fair taxers with the sound monetarists?  The benefits of such a coalition is a win-win scenario.  Politics is a dirty game for the majority of public opinion.  At this moment of economic crisis the opportunity to slay two dragons and help America begin the long road to recovery is here.
