After all the Tea Party idea was his supporters, cutting government spending was his platform since before Reagan, and even though Ron Paul was ridiculed and considered an outcast of the GOP, Ron Paul was right. Government has spent us into bankruptcy. Our posterity is merely debt slaves to the debt the Federal Government keeps accruing.
Bush destroyed the GOP and many in their party are now realizing that but to be fair is there anyone else in the GOP or the Democratic Party that was more against Bush’s policies? Does anyone in the GOP have any more credibility in speaking out against spending than Ron Paul? How could those fiscal conservatives that voted for Bush’s bailout even complain about Obama’s bailout? What about those that funded Bush’s wars, "No Child Left Behind," the prescription drug program? How can they(that voted for them) even be given a serious look. There was only 1 man that stood up to those things and his name is Ron Paul, the only American conservative in congress. After all an American conservative is a strict Constitutionalist. Knowing how Anti-Constitutional Bush was can the media stop lying to us by calling  Bush a conservative?

The GOP has clearly lost its way.  They have drifted from their core constituents and instead became more centrist, more European in their appeal.  They must have forgotten that America is not European nor are Americans a people to beg for their government to provide for them.  America is a country of many people from many cultures and far away lands, but one thing unites them and helped to bring them here, freedom.  No guarantee, no blank check, simply the opportunity to work for a better life.  Unfortunately it seems BOTH parties have started to preach the same message of security.  Both financially and from the war on terrorism.  I wonder how many Americans now feel financially secure, or how many enjoy having their 80 something year old mother or grandmother stripped searched at the airport?  Is this the country we were destined to be?

If the GOP can make it back on track they need to reject the warfare and the welfare state.  Safety in a free society is afterall up to each and every one of us, which is why we have a right to bear arms. The GOP must realize their is no room for 2 centrist parties.  That a party of Americans for Americans that love their freedom will always win.  That the European philosophy is why so many fled Europe and elsewhere to come here.  Freedom is not only the solution it is the final answer!!!

For many years there has been a movement for a so called, "Fair Tax."  This movement has grown each and every year due to the most despised of government agencies, the IRS.  Could this be the time to unite the Fair Taxers and those that wish to restore sound money by ending the Federal Reserve?  Talking heads like Neal Boortz to the mega-celebs like Chuck Norris are stalwart fair taxers yet never heard either of them call to end the federal reserve.  In this moment of national crisis people have started to save.  Savings are very important as to the health and wealth of any nation.  Without savings a nation is doomed to stagnation and little innovation.  Savings are the root of all investment and the road to future prosperity.  While no tax is the best tax of all, a consumption tax(which is what the fair tax is) would help to curb consumption and promote savings.  Which is exactly what the United States of America needs right now.  Is it time to join the fair taxers with the sound monetarists?  The benefits of such a coalition is a win-win scenario.  Politics is a dirty game for the majority of public opinion.  At this moment of economic crisis the opportunity to slay two dragons and help America begin the long road to recovery is here.
